There are tons of Facebook prospecting tips out there and the ones that actually work all have one thing in common: they require you to position yourself as a trusted expert in your field.

Brand yourself as an authority in your field and you will see MASSIVE growth in your social media following and in your business.

But how do you do that?

How do you brand yourself as an authority and position yourself as a trusted expert (instead of just a pushy salesperson)?

Let's talk about how to brand yourself as an authority and generate MASSIVE growth online with these 5 super-easy-to-implement Facebook prospecting tips.

Facebook Prospecting Tip #1: Brand You, Not Your Company

When you started with your network marketing company, you were probably taught to focus on the company, not on you, right?

Focus on the products and the business opportunity.

When you're building your network marketing company online, however, it's best not to focus on the company but instead focus on YOU.

Branding YOU, and not just your network marketing company, will increase your perceived value, it will insulate you from anything that happens in your network marketing company, and it ultimately allows you to make more money.

Be in the business of being awesome.

Facebook Prospecting Tip #2: Get Yourself a Fan Page

A Facebook fan page allows you to attract a following of your EXACT target audience.

A lot of people like to network and promote their business on their personal page, because they already have lots of friends, and it's easy to reach a lot of people.

But do you really want to post product deals and business pitches to your aunt, your coworkers, and everyone you went to highschool with, when you could be talking to people who have ALREADY expressed interest in what you're doing instead?

Creating a fan page will allow you to get laser focused on who your target audience is and speak to only people who are ALREADY interested in what you are doing.

It will also better position you as an authority in your field.

Facebook Prospecting Tip #3: Add VALUE

You want to do more than just push your products and your business opportunity on people.

If you ADD VALUE, then you will rise above the noise of all the other "me too" marketers who are trying to get people to buy their products and join their business.

You'll position yourself as a trusted authority and people will come to know, like, and trust you.  Hello bigger warm market!

So how do you add value?

Simple.

Solve problems that people are having in your niche market.

Do you sell essential oils?  Share DIY cleaner recipes, and health and wellness tips like how to fight colds and flu with essential oils.

Are you a fitness coach?  Share your story about how you've improved your health.  Share healthy recipes that are easy and quick to make.  Share exercises that target legs, abs, etc.

Just go out and educate, entertain, and inspire.

Once you do that, and people see that you are actually making a difference in their lives, then they will be much more likely to buy products from you, or join your business if/when they're looking for an opportunity.

Facebook Prospecting Tip #4: Use Snip.ly to Generate Prospects Using Other People's Content

Snip.ly is an amazing (and free!) tool that allows you to redirect traffic from things that you share (other people's content) to your products or your business.

Using this tool, you can share content (blog posts, articles, videos, etc.) that your target audience would find helpful and redirect any interested people to your offer.

This blog post that I wrote recently on How to Use Snip.ly to Generate Prospects with Other People's Content explains how you do this in detail.

Facebook Prospecting Tip #5: Use Live Videos to Reach TONS of People

Facebook Live is by far the BEST way to reach a ton of people and present your offer for free.

Facebook shows live videos to way more people than it shows any other type of post.  Plus, when you are recording your live video, you show up at the very top of the news feed of all your fans.

What does that mean for you?

That means that you can get yourself in front of a HUGE number of people for free (no advertising costs) by using live video.

What do you say in a live video?

Anything that your audience would find educational, entertaining, or inspiring.

Share your story.  Share business building tips.  Share DIY essential oil recipes, or talk about magnesium deficiencies and nutritional supplements, or how to identify tocxins in skin care.

Go out and do some research.  Find some good content on your topic and share it.

It's as simple as that.

Then, at the end of each video, you can include a "call to action".  Tell your audience what you want them to do next.  "Click on the sign up (or the buy now) button on my Facebook fan page."  Or "Visit my website for more information."

If you start with just ONE of these Facebook prospecting tips and start implementing them one at a time, I promise that you will start generating MASSIVE momentum in your business.
